There are over a dozen places to choose from that offer relief to your hunger cravings, from snacks to full service dining. And, there are about a dozen retail stores to shop with items from newspapers to fine quality gifts. Entertainment includes a piano playing jazzy tunes, live bands at the end of each month, a game room, or just rent a DVD movie and player at InMotion Pictures.
Throughout the terminal areas, artwork made by school children and local artists are displayed. For quieter places, walk through the Haskell art gallery or visit our meditation room. Other services in the terminal area are an information center, seated massage, and shoeshine.
Time flies by with all the restaurants, services and shopping at the Jacksonville International Airport.
In an effort to provide the highest level of customer convenience and security, Jacksonville International Airport now offers a Courtesy Waiting Lot for people picking up passengers. This lot is located just beyond the Jacksonville Airport Authority (JAA) Administration Building as you are approaching the terminal. To enter the lot from Airport Road: make a left after the JAA building onto Pecan Park Road and then a left into the Waiting Lot which also offers up-to-date flight information. This lot is not an overnight lot - any vehicles left overnight will be towed at the owner's expense. For more information about our Courtesy Waiting Lot, please contact Parking Information at: 904.741.2277.
Due to heightened security measures, only ticketed passengers are allowed past security checkpoints. If you are escorting a minor or special needs passenger who is traveling alone, please contact your airline carrier to obtain a companion pass and for additional information. This pass will allow you to escort the individual through the security checkpoint and to the gate.
The security checkpoints at JIA are located at the entrances of our three concourses so all visitors can have access to the terminal courtyard area. This is a perfect place to meet arriving passengers, as it is in direct view of each concourse. While you wait you can relax, shop or enjoy a meal from one of the many concessionaires. Be advised that FAA Regulations prohibit anyone from parking or leaving vehicles unattended for any length of time at the curb. If picking up a passenger, vehicles may stop at the curb if the passenger is physically standing at the curb with their luggage. If dropping off a passenger, you may stop at the curb and assist the passenger with unloading their luggage.
Parking in the hourly garage is another short-term parking option for those picking up passengers. Customers that park less than 30-minutes exit for free or fees are $1.50 each additional half hour or any portion thereof.
